Sunday School Lunch

The Fellowship Sunday School Class will be having lunch together next Sunday, May 20th, after the late service in the multi-purpose building. All are invited, including our many Sunday school teachers. Just bring a side or dessert. We will be taking up a collection to help cover the cost of the meat and drinks that will be provided. Call the church office with any questions.

Senior Recognition Sunday

Senior Recognition Sunday will be Sunday, May 13th. We will take this opportunity to recognize everyone who is graduating from high school or a higher level
of education. Please email Jan Duran your family member’s name and program from which they are graduating.

POPC Summer Ceramics Class

A summer Ceramics Class will meet 2 nights a month and all ages and genders are welcome. Everyone may work on ceramics of their choice. Class participants less than 15 years of age need to be accompanied by an adult. Please email Mary Lou for more information.

Ladies’ Choir Month

June is Ladies’ Choir Month, and all ladies from second grade age and up are invited! Rehearsals are from 6:30 to 7:30 pm for three Wednesday nights in June: June 6, June 13, and June 20. We will rehearse in the choir room # 138 in the Education Building, and sing each Sunday following the Wednesday rehearsal. Come join us to worship the Lord through singing!

Sonbeam’s Parents Night Out

POPC’S Sonbeams Ministry is offering a Special Needs Parents Night Out for parents of special needs children and their siblings, as well as adults with special needs on Friday, May 4th from 6:30-9:00 p.m. Contact the church office if you would like to volunteer to help with this wonderful ministry.

Senior Banquet

Graduating seniors, families of seniors, and all POPC youth are invited to the 2012 Senior Banquet. It will be held on April 25th from 5:00-7:30 p.m. in the Multi-purpose Building. We are blessed to have Penn’s Catfish catering the night for us. Seniors and their families eat for free, and there will be a $5 cover charge for those in 7th -11th grade. Please join us as we honor our seniors.

Pickin’ & Paddlin’

The Neighborhood Christian Center, which tutors inner city Jackson kids, is having their annual Pickin’ & Paddlin’ Outdoor Festival to fund their Summer
Enrichment Program. NCC is a local missions ministry POPC currently supports. The festival is scheduled for Saturday, May 5th from 10:00 – 4:00 at Mayes Lake at LeFleur’s Bluff just off Lakeland Drive. Come enjoy bluegrass music, inflatable obstacle course, NCC Children’s Choir, games, storytelling, face painting, canoe races and more! Admission is $10 per person which includes a BBQ Lunch from Chimneyville. Plus, kids 10 & under with an adult get in FREE which includes lunch.
