Missions

Jesus told his apostles that “you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8). It is one of the highest priorities at Pear Orchard to heed Jesus’ calling. That is why the third part of our vision statement as a church is, “So that all may see Christ in us and come to love and trust Him, we will by grace . . . thrust out the hope of His Gospel locally [Jerusalem], nationally [Judea and Samaria] and internationally [the ends of the earth].” The Missions Team was established by the Session to carry out this most important ministry.

Purpose of our Missions Team

To assist the saints of POPC in the accomplishing of the Great Commission through prayer, giving, and going. To assess and evaluate the missions ministries with which POPC will partner. To partner with God’s works locally, nationally, and globally.
