Ladies’ Craft Night

Do you have a hobby or a project that you never seem to have time to work on? If so, please bring your craft or project and join other ladies in our church once per month for a Ladies’ Craft Night. It will be held on the second Thursday of each month from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. in the Education Building Cafeteria. Please enter the Education Building through the entrance that faces Pear Orchard Road. If you arrive after 6:45, please call Linda Morris (601-573-8658) and she will come downstairs to let you in. This will be a delightful way to become acquainted with other ladies in our church, and it will be therapeutic for you as well!

Fellowships & Special Events

Calling all creative women! Women’s Ministries seeks to provide meaningful opportunities for fellowship among women as well as our congregation. If you have a flair for decorating or menu planning and preparation, please consider working with other women to plan, host and execute our fellowship events. Family Night Suppers

On the last Sunday evening of most months, the congregation meets in the multi-purpose building for a “potluck” meal, singing together, and worship.  Family Night Suppers will be held on last Sunday evening of each month except during the months of November, December, January and May.

Flowers

The glory of God is on magnificent display in our altar flowers each Lord’s Day.  What a blessing it is to view His creation as we worship!  We are seeking for someone to coordinate the ordering of altar flowers as well as the expressions of honor or memory which are included in the Sunday bulletins.  This person would also coordinate the decorating of the church at Christmas and ordering of lilies and poinsettias at Easter and Christmas.  If you can assist with this ministry, please contact Joy Lurate (joy null@null pearorchard NULL.org) (601-956-3283 ext 115).

Hospitality Luncheons

Twice per year a team of ladies prepares a delicious meal complete with seasonal décor for all visitors, members of the Inquirers’ Class, the church staff, and their respective families.  This gathering takes place following the morning worship service and provides a wonderful fellowship opportunity for our newest members or prospects.  If you are interested in being on the hospitality luncheon team, please contact Laura Boswell (boswellfarm null@null aol NULL.com) (601-845-3152).

Wedding and Baby Showers

Women’s Ministries considers it a privilege to host showers for brides-to-be and first-time mothers.  This is a beautiful time during which we “come along side” our sisters in Christ to spiritually encourage them and to pray for them during this pivotal season of life.  It is also an excellent opportunity for fellowship!  If you would like to be on a shower “team” which hosts a shower 1 – 2 times per year, please contact Kacky Darnall (kdwic null@null aol NULL.com) (601-927-5358).  It’s fun to work with the other women, and we have a “shower plan” already in place. Please also contact Kacky if you know of a bride-to-be or a first-time-mother-to-be.
