MONTHLY BIBLE STUDIES
WEEKLY BIBLE STUDIES
For Monday Night and Thursday Morning Studies:
Abide, A Study of 1,2,3 John, by Jen Wilkin
"How can we hold on to assurance of our faith? How can we discern the truth from a lie? How can we know God loves us? In these three short letters, the apostle John reminds an early church facing division, deception, and doubt to hold fast to what they know and to live like they believe it. His words call us today to remember the great salvation we have in Christ and to abide in the Truth of His Word."

For Wednesday Morning Bible Study:
The Holiness of God, by RC Sproul
"The Holiness of God is a look at the meaning of holiness and why people are both fascinated and terrified by a holy God. It is a profound, moving investigation of the character of God, particularly that aspect of God - holiness - that defines all we are and do as Christians. RC Sproul says, 'It affects every aspect of our lives - economics, politics, athletics, romance - everything with which we are involved.' "
For Wednesday Night Bible Study - weeks 1-7
The Trinity: An Introduction, by Scott Swain
" The Trinity is one of the most essential doctrines of the Christian faith. The eternal God existing in three persons - Father, Son, and Spirit - can be difficult to comprehend. While Christians often struggle to find the right words to describe this union the Bible gives clarity concerning the triune God's being and activity in nature (creation), grace (redemption), and glory (reward).
For Wednesday Night Bible Study - weeks 8-14
Praying the Bible, by Donald Whitney
"When you pray, does it ever feel like you're just saying the same old things about the same old things? Offering us the encouragement and the practical advice we're all looking for, Donald Whitney, outlines an easy to grasp method that has the power to transform our prayer life: praying the words of Scripture. Simple, yet profound, Praying the Bible will prove invaluable as you seek to commune with your heavenly Father in prayer each and every day."
Registering for the study will put your name, email and cell number in the group so that we can send a brief email or text alert in case of bad weather, a room change, prayer request, etc. So please take a quick moment to register.
Monthly Bible Studies are ongoing but welcome new faces anytime! In Tuesday Evening Monthly Bible Study, ladies are currently studying No Falling Words (Joshua) by Ralph Davis. This study is led by Joy Lurate. In Lydia circle, ladies are currently hearing various testimonies. A spring book is TBD.
Mom to Mom
We have small groups of women who meet monthly to discuss all the joys and challenges of motherhood from a biblical perspective. Our topics range from the mission of motherhood, to spending time alone with God in your season of life, to meal planning and discipling children. Our groups are almost full so if you are interested in being a part of this ministry, please email Jennifer White using the church directory app or by emailing webmaster@pearorchard.org.
