Fall Retreat Info!

We will leave from POPC Multi Purpose Building at 8:45 p.m., please arrive at 8:15 to sign in, pick up your t-shirt and get your car assignment!

Here is schedule and packing list:

8:45 p.m. – Meet/Depart from POPC Parking Lot
10 p.m. – Arrive and get settled in at Central Hills Baptist Retreat Center
10:30-12 – Testimonial & Bible Study intro (John Perritt)
12:15 – Get ready for bed/Lights out

8:00-9:00 a.m. – Breakfast
9:00-9:30 a.m. – Individual Quiet Times
9:45 – 10:15 a.m. – Session 1 (John Perritt)
10:15 – 10:30 a.m. – Break
10:30 – 11:00 a.m. – Session 2 (John Perritt)
11:00 – 12:00 p.m. –Breakout Group
12:00 – 1:00 p.m. – Lunch
1:00-2:00 p.m. – Tournament
2:00-4:30 p.m. – Free Time
4:30-5:00 p.m. – Session 3 (John Perritt)
5:00-6:15 p.m. – Supper
6:15-8:00 p.m. – Skits

11:30ish a.m. – Pick up students at Multi-Purpose building (all luggage, teens, etc. will be in the foyer)
Back in time for late service if attending.

Weekly Events


Sunday School: Junior and Senior High meet in the POPC multi-purpose building from 9:50-10:50a.m. for Sunday School. We divide into three groups: 7th-8th, 9th-10th, 11th-12th. This year, 7th-8th grade will be studying Biblical Worldview, 9th-10th grade will be studying Old Testament Survey, and 11th-12th grade will be studying Apologetics.

Church Service: Be sure to join us in the sanctuary for worship. Early service 8:30 a.m. Late service 11:00 a.m.

Shazam: Jr. High meets for a time of fellowship and food from 4:30-6:00p.m. in the gym. Youth parents take turns providing food.

Evening Worship: We come together with the church at 6:00-7:00 p.m. for worship in the sanctuary and to hear teaching from God’s Word.

Vittles: The Sr. High meet at a different youth’s home every week from 7:10-8:30. This is a time for students to fellowship and eat together before starting a busy week of school. The youth staff can help with transportation to and from Vittles. Please let us know if you would like a ride. Monday – Thursday

The youth staff loves to get together with a group of students or individually for one on one time. This is a great time to build relationships and also to point students to the gospel. We meet with students before and after school on Mondays-Thursdays. We are available to pick them up and take them home. Let us know when you’d like to schedule a day to meet!


Large Group:
All 7th-12th graders are invited to Wednesday Night Large Group from 5:30 to 7:30 pm to hang out, worship, and participate in small group studies. Students are welcome to stay for open gym until 8:00pm. We are currently studying the book of Romans.

  • 5:30-6:00- Dinner in the Multi-purpose Building Lobby (bring your own food, eat before you come, or bring $5 for the cafeteria), Open Gym, Games

  • 6:15-7:30- Worship and Small Groups

  • 7:30-8:00- Open Gym/Games

Tuesday and thursday

Tuesday and Thursday morning Bible studies meet in Madison and Flowood at 7:00am. The students that live in or are going to school in the Jackson/Flowood area will meet at Chick Fil A on Lakeland (108 Market Street Flowood, MS 39232). The students who live in or are going to school in the Madison/Ridgeland area will meet at Chick-Fil-A in Madison (1873 Main Street Madison, MS 39110). PLEASE contact the youth staff for more information to confirm the time and location for your students’ Bible study.
