2018 Fall Retreat is November 9th-11th!

We will go to Central Hills Baptist Retreat and hear from Elliott Everitt, from Mississippi State RUF, teaching from Philippians. Cost is $105 per student. Checks can be made out to Pear Orchard Presbyterian Church and given to one of the Youth Staff.

Weekly Events


Sunday School: Junior and Senior High meet in the POPC multi-purpose building from 9:50-10:50a.m. for Sunday School. We divide into three groups: 7th-8th, 9th-10th, 11th-12th. This year, 7th-8th grade will be studying Biblical Worldview, 9th-10th grade will be studying Old Testament Survey, and 11th-12th grade will be studying Apologetics.

Church Service: Be sure to join us in the sanctuary for worship. Early service 8:30 a.m. Late service 11:00 a.m.

Shazam: Jr. High meets for a time of fellowship and food from 4:30-6:00p.m. in the gym. Youth parents take turns providing food. Click on the Host Calendar (right sidebar) for a list of host parents. (Summer Shazam does not meet every Sunday in the Summer.  See the Upcoming Events, Announcements or Bulletin for updates on Youth Activities.)

Evening Worship: We come together with the church at 6:00-7:00 p.m. for worship in the sanctuary and to hear teaching from God’s Word.

Vittles: The Sr. High meet at a different youth’s home every week from 7:00-8:30. Click on the Host Calendar (right sidebar) for a list of host families. This is a time for students to fellowship and eat together before starting a busy week of school. The youth staff can help with transportation to and from Vittles. Please let us know if you would like a ride. (Summer Vittles does not meet every Sunday in the summer. Please see Upcoming Events, Announcements, or the bulletin for updates on Youth Activities.)

Monday – Thursday

The youth staff loves to get together with a group of students or individually for one on one time. This is a great time to build relationships and also to point students to the gospel. We meet with students after school on Mondays-Thursdays. We are available to pick them up and take them home. Let us know when you’d like to schedule a day to meet!


Large Group:
All 7th-12th graders are invited to Wednesday Night Youth Group from 5:30 to 7:30 pm to hang out, worship, and participate in small group studies. Students are welcome to stay for open gym until 8:00pm.   We will be studying the book of Mark beginning August 22. 

  • 5:30-6:00- Dinner in the Multi-purpose Building Lobby (bring your own food, eat before you come, or bring $5 for the cafeteria), Open Gym, Games

  • 6:15-7:30- Worship and Small Groups

  • 7:30-8:00- Open Gym/Games


Thursday mornings are set aside for Bible studies that meet in Madison and Flowood at 7:00am. The students that live in or are going to school in the Jackson/Flowood area will meet at Corner Bakery on Lakeland (108 Market Street Flowood, MS 39232). The students who live in or are going to school in the Madison/Ridgeland area will meet at Chick-Fil-A in Madison (1873 Main Street Madison, MS 39110). This semester, we will be studying the books of Ruth and Esther. Contact the youth staff for more information.
