Many THANKS to all who participated in OCC this year. We had a great year with collections of 33,250 shoeboxes! Praise the Lord for his gracious provision and for allowing us the privilege to serve Him in this ministry. Please continue to pray for the children who will receive the boxes, and all involved in the process of getting the boxes delivered. May this be a tradition that our church family participates in annually to prepare our hearts for the season.
All youth grades 7-12 are invited for our annual White Elephant Christmas Party on December 4th from 5:30-7:30 p.m. It will be held in the Multi-Purpose Building this year. Bring $2 for an all- you-can-eat pancake dinner with toppings you never dreamed could go on a pancake! Wear your favorite modest PJ’s (onesies are preferred, but not required). We’ll have a gift exchange so make sure you bring a $5, unmarked, wrapped gift to participate! Come and enjoy fellowship with great friends while sipping on coffee punch and listening to Amy Grant Christmas! This will be our final Wednesday night of the year.
We invite all POPC ladies to our annual Comfort & Joy Café on December 5th from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. in the Multi-Purpose Building for a festive gathering! Our evening will include delectable hors d’oeuvres, a coffee and hot chocolate bar, lots of fellowship, and a Christmas devotion by Shirley Windham. Attire is casual, and guests are welcome. Please plan to be with us for that important member responsibility. You will receive in the mail a letter in advance of the meeting, with the budgets enclosed, and a sample ballot of Officer candidates for your prayerful consideration.
