Summer Large Group Sermon Series

This summer, we will be spending time talking about "The Gospel and Biblical Sexuality". This will be a brief series that will seek to apply the ancient biblical gospel to our modern views of sexuality. We will answer questions such as:

  • What does the Bible say about manhood and womanhood?
  • What is the biblical view of marriage and how do I embrace it today?
  • How can I fight against sexual temptation?
  • Does the Bible give any wisdom to how we should engage the sexually lost with the biblical gospel?
  • What does the Bible really teach about sexual identity and how should I see myself?
  • Can I really be cleansed of my sexual sin and brokenness?

We will be having 5 Large Group sessions over the summer on:

  1. The Gospel and Sexual Identity (May 30)
  2. The Gospel and Sexual Brokenness (June 13)
  3. Battling Sexual Temptation (June 20)
  4. Engaging the Sexually Lost (July 18)
  5. The Biblical Story of Marriage (July 25)

Join us as Wilson, Scott, and RTS professor Benjamin Gladd lead us through this topic. All sermons will be recorded and posted in the "Resources" tab under the category "Other Audio Messages".

Monday – Thursday

The youth staff loves to get together with a group of students or individually for one on one time. This is a great time to build relationships and also to point students to the gospel. We meet with students after school on Mondays-Thursdays. We are available to pick them up and take them home. Let us know when you’d like to schedule a day to meet!

Prayer Breakfast:

We have weekly prayer breakfasts during the school year, beginning again on August 22, 2017.  If you attend Jackson Prep, Hartfield Academy, Northwest Rankin High or Middle, or if you're homeschooled please meet at Corner Bakery (on Lakeland Drive) from 7:00-7:45 a.m. for a time of food, fellowship, and prayer before we start the school day. Let us know you’re coming so we can provide transportation to school from there.

All 7th-12th graders are invited to Wednesday Night Youth Group from 5:30 to 7:30 pm to hang out, worship, and participate in small group studies.   We will be studying the book of Galatians beginning August 23.

  • 5:30-6:00- Dinner in the Multi-purpose Building Lobby (bring your own food, eat before you come, or bring $5 for the cafeteria)
  • 6:00-7:00- Worship and Small Groups
  • 7:00-7:30- Fellowship

Thursday mornings are set aside for one-on-one times with our youth leaders. If you’d like to meet with Wilson, Molly, Scott, or Abbey before school let them know!
