Bridal and Baby Showers

Baby and Bridal showers are held on Saturdays in the Cafeteria from 10 am - 12 noon, 1-3 pm or 2-4 pm. Team members either prepare finger foods, punch, and coffee or provide simple decorations. On the day of the shower, the team arrives an hour early and helps clean up when the shower is over. Please consider joining us in this sweet ministry! Compassionate Care

We serve by meeting the needs of our congregation in times of need. We come alongside our session, diaconate and other POPC ministries to love our families well in times of difficulty. If you are interested in learning more about being on a compassionate care team, please email me at thaynes@peaorchard.org.

Meals Ministry

Occasionally you will receive an email with an opportunity to sign up to take a meal to a family who has just had a baby, or surgery, or a particular difficulty.

Cards of Encouragement

Members of the Cards of Encouragement Committee dedicate one or two months out of the year to comfort and encourage our sisters in Christ by sending “real mail” to members and regular visitors. Our team sends cards of encouragement to those who are sick, recovering from surgery, walking through a hardship, or grieving the loss of a loved one. We also send cards of celebration, including births, weddings, and birthday cards to our “Golden Circle” members. Our prayer is that these notes build up our sisters in their faith, point them to Christ, and assure them that they are not alone on their journey.
